Sunrise on Angkor Wat... a touch of color on the topmost spire, then a nimbus of light, outlining the towers. The silhouette of the pyramid against a sky which for this brief moment is cold and flat as a sheet of silver...

Sunrise on Agkor - a repetitious miracle that reminds us of the mystery of life and the sanctity of all living things.

 

Many years ago I had heard stories about mysterious temple ruins deep in the Cambodian jungle. I heard about their mystery, their beauty and their importance in Cambodian life.

 

In the summer of 2004 Angelina Azevedo and I went to explore and what we found in the jungle took our breath away. We knew we had found the perfect setting for our next garden catalog and a locale we could never forget - Angkor Wat.

 

We assembled a team of passionate artists and set off to Cambodia again in November and produced this folio.

 

This book was put together to show you our garden ware of course. But we also wanted to amplify the artistry and craftmanship that can only be found in the Far East. I hope you enjoy our efforts and that it sparks even in the smallest appreciation of the Mysterious Far East and Angkor Wat.
